Here’s a video I never posted dating all the way back to Monday September 7th (Labor Day). Scott and I decided to trek on down (and by trek i mean walk the 2 miles… don’t worry, we had Ricky pick us up in his car and drive us home:) down to fisherman’s Warf to go to In-N-out. (I’ll post some pictures too). But, we went there, had a delicious meal (see pictures) and even managed to see some sidewalk entertainment. Now I use the term “entertainment” loosely. For some reason, Scott and I weren’t in the best mood that day (funny how Scott and I even shares moods now), which is probably what prompted the In-N-Out need. (we’re both stress eaters) Anyway, the above video is of this street performer outside of In-N-Out. Now your first reaction might be “oh i loved Mary Poppins… i wonder if he cleans chimney’s on the side?”… wow, how cute!! maybe he speaks with a Cockney English accent right???…
NO. This Sh*t was just annoying. Even if I wasn’t in a bad mood, (which I was that day), this would annoy me. What is he trying to prove? What am i supposed to take from this? Should I report him to the music authorities? Does he not have any mirrors in his house? I’d say it must take balls to walk out of your house like this, but really, i think it just takes stupidity!!! I don’t know, maybe I’m the sucker and he’s bringing in the big bucks with this street performance…however I remain highly suspicious, that the only reason you add more instruments is because you can’t make it with just one…
Anyways, this guy was exhausting to watch, and I think he held our attention for almost all of the 17 seconds for which this video lasted… I can’t be this harsh though. Realistically, our tolerance and patience had previously been used up on the all the touristy people walking the street. Apparently in other cities, it’s customary to walk slowly, stop suddenly, and have absolutely no awareness of your surroundings. I don’t miss New York City often, but I can say this, if these same people were visiting the big apple…well let’s just say they’d stand a good chance of waking up in New Jersey.
Enjoy the video and the pics. Oh also, RIP Patrick Swayze. If I can find enough good material, i’ll try to post a blog explaining to you all just how incredible a man he was.
